Hi, there, and welcome to your unit all about place value.

Today, we are going to be reading and writing three digit numbers.

So, it's time to put on your hats, , tuck in your ties, , and tell the computer, now am a mathematician.

Let's get stuck with today's learning.

So here is today's lesson agenda.

First, it's going to be looking at 'star words' then were going to be looking at what these digits represent? whats the number? the motive of our number search, as our independent task and then you'll do your quiz.

So, before we get started, please make sure you have a pencil, a piece of paper and a ruler.

Now our memories to make sure we use star words, remember the key vocabulary.

Here I have the number 245.

So in my tins column, I have hundreds, two hundreds, in my tens, I have four tens, and in my ones column, I have five ones.

Which makes the number 245.

Here I have another number.

What do you think this digit might represent? Have to think? You are correct, it is, four hundreds, two tens and five ones.

Which makes the number 425.

How many tens are there in the tens place already? Because it's a zero in the tens column, no facts, no tens.

How would this number be written in words? Three hundred and seven.

We don't need to write, three hundred, no tens and seven.

It's three hundred and seven.

So your task today is really fun.

It's a number search task.

And I found the number 50 in my number search.

And then you need to write the numbers next to the words.
