- Conjugate the future tense of -er verbs by adding the endings -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont to the infinitive.
- The conditional has the same stem as the future tense (the infinitive).
- The conditional endings are: -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient. These are the same as the imperfect.

Common misconception
A separate word for 'will' and 'would' needs to be translated into French when using future or conditional verbs.
The 1-verb future and conditional verb forms express 'will' and 'would' in their spellings. No separate word is required.
