Common misconception
Pupils may not follow the instructions as they know how to make a sandwich themselves already.
Model the process with the printed instructions and slow the process down by going one step at a time, encouraging them to repeat the instruction. This could either be using 'I do, we do' as shown in the slides or in small groups.
