Key learning points
- To say 'to' a town or city, we use the preposition 'à' on its own, for example 'Je vais à Londres'.
- To say 'to' a feminine country we use 'en', for example 'Tu vas en Angleterre.'
- To say going 'to' someone's house or place, it's 'chez', for example 'Il va chez le dentiste' - He goes to the dentist.
- To say 'you (plural) go' or 'you are going', we use 'vous allez'. This is called the 2nd person plural of the verb.
- To say 'they go' or 'they are going', we use 'ils, elles vont'. This is called the 3rd person plural of the verb.
