Common misconception

The noun 'un être', meaning 'a being', changes to 'une être' when referring to a girl or woman. 'Un être humain' changes to 'une être humaine' in the feminine.

The noun 'être' is masculine, even when referring to a girl or a woman. The phrase 'un être humain', 'a human being', refers to both genders.
