Key learning points

  1. 'Bis' as a preposition means 'until, 'up to', by'. As a conjunction sending the verb to the end it means 'until'.
  2. 'Bis' can be used on its own with adverbs and simple time phrases.
  3. If the noun following 'bis' has an article, use an appropriate preposition - 'zu', 'an', 'in' - and the correct case.
  4. 'Wenn' means ‘when’, ‘whenever’ of ‘if’ and is used for repeated actions or conditions in the present or future.
