Key learning points

  1. It is important to have a good knowledge of sound-symbol correspondences to accurately read aloud in German.
  2. Look out for tricky sounds and cognates, and mentally rehearse before reading aloud.
  3. When performing a role-play, answers should be a short phrase or sentence. Do not add unnecessary detail.
  4. Choose words you know how to pronounce well, so that your responses are clear.

Common misconception

Like in a picture description and conversation, I should develop my role-play answers as much as possible.
