Common misconception
Time, manner, place adverbs must always be used in the order TMP.
When using WO1, the order TMP applies. However, each of the elements can be used at the beginning of a sentence for emphasis. In that case, use WO2 and put the remaining elements in the order time before manner before place.
Teacher tip
Give students plenty of practice in handling and rearranging the elements in present, past and future tenses. The grammar 'am liebsten' in Learning Cycle 2 is Higher tier, but the resources are accessible and adaptable for Foundation grammar 'gern' and 'lieber'.
