[qu] - pronounced as in 'bequem'
[w] - pronounced as in 'Antwort'
Common misconception
[qu] sounds the same in English and German.
In German, the SSC [qu] is pronounced 'k' then 'w' (which in German is like the English 'v' sound). Avoid confusion with English - for example, 'Qualität' vs 'quality'. In German, 'kw' appears only in complound words, e.g., 'Trinkwasser'.
