      Lesson details

      Learning outcome

I can mirror my partners’ actions using an object.

      Key learning points

      1. Move: when using objects we can move with them or around them.
      2. Move: copying and mirroring requires us to replicate the actions of others.
      3. Think: imagination enables us to think how we can move an object or prop in a variety of ways.
      4. Feel: self-belief enables us to create actions for our partner to mirror.
      5. Connect: fairness requires us to consider the needs of others.

      Keywords

      • Partner - working with one other person

      • Copying - to do the same actions as another person

      • Mirroring - reflecting an action

      Common misconception

Mirroring and copying are the same

Mirroring is a type of copying, it specifically requires the movement to be translated to the opposite side of the body to produce the effect of a reflection. Copying can be a direct replication of the action.
