Common misconception
Pupils may think that sport and physical activity is all about competing and winning.
Moving and exercising is an important part of daily life, not just for organised competition. Exercising can be done for fun and is important to help our bodies and minds to stay healthy.
Teacher tip
This is a great opportunity to develop pupils' levels of fitness and stamina. Try to increase pupils' activity time to 5-8 minutes of continuous movement at a moderate intensity.
