What is Imamate?
In this lesson, we will focus on the what is Imamate in the Shi'a tradition. We will be exploring and investigating what Imamate is with reference to the 5 Roots of Usul ad-Din in Shi'a Islam and then consider what evidence from the Quran and Hadith is used by the Shi'a tradition to emphasis the significance and importance of the 12 Imams being the successors of authority after the death of the Prophet Muhammad. Any reference to verses from the Qur'an mentioned or included within this lesson are sourced from 'Corpus Quran' using the Sahih International translation.
