Common misconception
Every child gets the support, love and care that they need.
Many children do not have their needs met and may require extra support. For example, this can come from school or social care.
Teacher tip
Pupils who do not have a healthy home environment may find this lesson upsetting. Ensure that you create space for pupils to share their worries with you, and be prepared to record disclosures if appropriate.
