Common misconception
In Spanish, subject pronouns are never necessary as verb endings indicate who is doing the action.
We can use subject pronouns 'tú' (you, sing) and 'vosotros/as' (you all) to give emphasis or to present a contrast.
Teacher tip
Teacher can give students a range of regular -er and -ir verbs and get them to conjugate these in order to embed these endings. When producing sentences with subject pronouns, students can be challenged to use different persons (I, you, she ...).
