Pupils already know the future tense with werden and the alternative ways of expressing intentions with for example 'planen', 'vorhaben' with zu + infinitive, including separable and reflexive verbs in the infinitive. In this unit, pupils expand this knowledge as they learn to give reasons using 2-verb structures. Word order 3 is practised with the future tense and with modal verbs.
