Description

The song guides cover a diverse selection of songs, designed to develop vocal technique, musical expression and ensemble skills, and building confidence and musical literacy. They can be broken down across multiple lessons to integrate them into the sequence, but can also be taught as full lessons.

These song guides focus on learning and performing two songs, with opportunities to explore melody, rhythm, harmony and style. Specifically, pupils develop their understanding of warming up the body for singing, developing their understanding of balance and tone quality, singing in three part harmony and how rhythm and emphasis in the phrase can have an impact on the feel of a performance.
