Description

In this unit pupils will build on their understanding of Abrahamic worldviews to investigate how Jesus is seen by Christians, Muslims and Jews. They will compare theological intepretations of his significance.

In Year 7 pupils learnt about covenant and then deepened this by exploring shared ideas of prophethood in Abrahamic traditions. This unit is sequenced here to allow them to further explore how the figure of Jesus is interpreted. Pupils will learn how the messiah has not yet come for Jews, whilst Jesus or Isa is a prophet for Muslims.
