- We can stem bleeding with pressure and bandages.
- Small wounds should be cleaned and dressed.
- If someone has injured their arm, it might be best to put it in a triangular sling.

Common misconception
Plasters are always useful.
Some wounds might not bleed very much at all, so plasters are not always useful. Other wounds might need medical treatment, such as stitches or a bandage.
