- The UK is made up of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- A capital city is the place in a country where the government ‘sits’ and has its centre of power.
- Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London are capitals of NI, Wales, Scotland and England; London is also capital of UK.

Rural - Rural means something to do with the countryside.
Common misconception
Rural areas have no shops or people that live there.
Rural areas are sparsely populated which means there are less people living there in comparison to urban areas.
Students could add a fact about each capital city around labelled map using information on slides or using additional information/independent research.
