Common misconception
Pupils may add a capital letter and full stop to their caption e.g. 'Fresh cucumber.'.
When modelling, explain a caption is not a sentence. Model mistakes for children to discuss and check.

Provide any real-life examples of when pupils have had to design something e.g. in the construction area or baking or cooking in DT.
