Key learning points

  1. Move: to hold our meditative balances consistently, slow deep breathing and a strong posture help us remain still.
  2. Move: taking deep breaths in and out, while focusing on positive emotions, enables us to feel calm and relaxed.
  3. Think: meditative balances improve our focus on the positive, enabling us to relax and improve strength and flexibility.
  4. Feel: self-motivation helps us focus on positive emotions, calming our bodies.
  5. Connect: when working with others, we have to trust one another to use relaxation methods more effectively.

Keywords

  • Balance - maintain stability and control over the body's position to remain stationary

  • Meditative - being very calm, quiet and focused

  • Relaxation - when your body and mind feel calm and peaceful

Common misconception

Pupils rush their deep breathing, which reduces the impact of the technique.

Explain to pupils that it’s important not to rush deep breathing, otherwise they won’t be able to focus their minds and the technique won’t work.
