Teaching balances to each other
Key Stage 3
Year 8
Physical education
When you are explaining the teaching points of a balance to your peers, you must ensure that you're explaining them accurately and correctly. Remember that all balances require pupils to engage their core and use slow controlled movements to enter and exit balances to help increase control and stability. As well as teaching balances to your peers, you may need to show them how to support a balance using the additional material provided. By supporting others, you can help them to kinesthetically feel the correct technique for the balance.
