Common misconception
Pupils think self-assessment is similar to being assessed in something.
Self-assessment is an opportunity to reflect and does not count towards any assessment. It is positive. Leaders are able to grow from self-assessments as they recognise strengths, but more importantly, identify keys areas of improvement.
