Common misconception
Females are irritable during their period.
During the menstrual cycle, females may experience intensified emotions that can impact their mood. However, this does not make their emotions any less valid.
Teacher tip
Balance the positives and negatives of menstruation. Avoid any ideas of it being dirty or shameful. However, do not avoid discussing the challenges, such as cramps. emotional changes and managing menstrual blood.
