Key learning points
- The sound-spelling correspondences [que], [qui], [ce], [ci] can be usefully contrasted with one another for practice.
- I have is 'tengo' and you have is 'tienes'. For questions, use sentence words but just raise your voice at the end.
- To say 'I don’t have' or 'you don’t have', simply put 'no' before the verb. This works with any person of the verb.
- To say 'my' in Spanish before singular and uncountable nouns, use 'mi'. Before plural nouns, use 'mis'.
- To say 'your' in Spanish before singular and uncountable nouns, use 'tu'. Before plural nouns, use 'tus'.
