Key learning points

  1. 'Este' and 'esta' mean 'this' before a singular or uncountable noun. 'Este' is masculine and 'esta' is feminine.
  2. 'Estos' and 'estas' mean 'these' before a plural noun. 'Estos' is masculine and 'estas' is feminine.
  3. The suffixes -ísimo and -ísima mean 'very' and appear at the end of an adjective.
  4. The suffixes -ito and -ita mean 'little' and appear at the end of a noun.

Common misconception
