Create a vector drawing

In this unit pupils discover how to use drawing tools to create vector images. They will recognise that images in vector drawings are created using shapes and lines and individual elements are called a objects. Pupils use layering, grouping and duplication to create more complex images.

Introduction to vector graphics

to change where an object is placed on the canvas

a small square or circle on the edge of a shape that you can click and drag to resize or rotate the shape.

to make the view closer or further away without changing the size of the objects

to line up objects neatly, either side by side or on top of each other

the line around the outside of a shape, which you can change the colour, thickness or style of
