The unit will increase pupils’ motor competence when running and jumping. Pupils will show self-belief as they explore different ways of moving and balancing, and linking these together.

The unit of work will develop pupils' ability to accurately send a ball towards a target. Pupils will learn and apply their developing knowledge of where we send a ball and why, in order to score points to beat an opponent.

The unit of work will challenge pupils to respond to the changing stimuli using a range of different and controlled actions, showing character, expression, control and accuracy. Pupils will learn how to co-ordinate their bodies to create short sequences.
