This unit provides an introduction to some of the key citizenship concepts that pupils will study throughout their citizenship journey. Building on knowledge from the primary curriculum, students consider their existing knowledge on concepts such as democracy, rights and responsibilities and active citizenship and explore how this knowledge will be expanded through studying citizenship.
