This unit builds on the earlier unit which focuses on resources in the UK and enables pupils to develop a broader understanding of global inequalities in resource production and consumption. Having considered the global overview, pupils opt to study two resources in greater depth. This unit can support pupils in the subsequent unit on issue evaluation.
Prior knowledge requirements
- Pupils have global locational knowledge, of continents, regions and countries
- Pupils have an understanding of resources and inequality of production and consumption
- Pupils can describe and analyse patterns and trends on maps and graphs
