- If the product of the single digit and the tens number is greater than 100 then you regroup ten tens into one hundred.
- Record the additional hundred or hundreds in the hundreds column, one column to the left of the tens digits.
- Short multiplication results in only one product being recorded.
- There are similarities and differences between the expanded recording and short multiplication.
