Positioned during the autumn term of year 10, it will encourage engagement in extracurricular opportunities, including local clubs and competitions, which will allow further improvement of performance. This unit will help to prepare students for the practical GCSE moderation in Year 11.

Prior knowledge requirements

  • Pupils understand the importance of eyes up when moving with the ball
  • Pupils understand how to defend, mark and jockey players
  • Pupils are able to shoot with dominant foot
  • Pupils understand the difference between qualitative and quantitative data through observation and analysis of performance
