Working in a variety of media, they make independent choices and select those that best meet their intentions. Pupils might link these studies with their curriculum work in science: studying the cells of plants or animals, pollen, plant roots or bone for example.

Hidden worlds: collage and mixed media
Pupils will investigate micro-organisms & create observational drawings in pencil, charcoal and watercolour paint, before creating prints & pictures in mixed media collage.
