Pupils will have built up an understanding of Christian history and practice through a focus on denominations in Year 7, the person of Jesus and theologies of suffering in Year 8 and law and authority in Year 9. Here pupils consider the global nature of Christianity, its particular formation in Africa, and especially how Global South figures have brought together indigenous practices and ideas with Christianity to focus on poverty, discrimination and environmental degradation.
