  • Rights, justice and the law

Description

Pupils consider a range of roles within the legal system, explore what rights citizens have within the justice system and what influence they can have on the law.

Learning how they can play a part in the legal system builds on pupils' knowledge of law and governance. This unit is timely as it highlights opportunities for active participation, such as jury duty, volunteering, or legal advocacy. This knowledge helps pupils understand the role of citizens in the justice system, preparing them for active and engaged citizenship.
