New choreographic and performative elements are introduced in line with their maturity to ensure sustained challenge. Time and space is made available to focus on detail and precision of execution to complement a wider school ethos in preparing for examinations.

This unit utilises a thematic approach to provide pupils with a platform to apply knowledge from other subject areas. This will enable them to develop movement ideas beyond those introduced. Open ended tasks encourage and value a range of responses continuing to build creativity and teamwork.
