KS3 & KS4 Spanish curriculum

In other units, pupils learned neuter 'eso' and demonstrative adjectives 'ese', 'esa', 'esos', 'esas'. Pupils now build on this knowledge with demonstrative adjectives 'aquel', 'aquella', 'aquellos', 'aquellas', and neuter demonstrative 'aquello', to indicate objects when shopping. Pupils are already familiar with singular forms of 'dar' in the present tense, and now learn plural forms. They recap singular forms of 'hacer', verbs like 'poner', and verbs like 'concocer'.

• Pupils know how to use pronouns after prepositions, including emphatic use after 'a'.
• Pupils know that verbs like 'poner' add g to the first person singular and that verbs like 'conocer' add z to the first person singular in the present tense.
• Pupils know sound-symbol correspondences [ll], [l], [y], [ce], [z], [co], [go].
