Description

This unit introduces climate zones around the world. Pupils use maps and climate data to spot patterns, compare environments, and explore how plants and animals adapt to different conditions. The unit also introduces climate change.

This unit builds on pupils’ understanding of weather and places by exploring how climate differs around the world. Its placement supports pupils to spot patterns, connect climate with the natural world, and begin to think about how the climate is changing.
