Description

This unit introduces Europe as a continent of many countries, climates and landscapes. Pupils use maps to locate countries and cities, explore physical and human features, and consider how people live, travel and visit different parts of Europe.

This unit extends pupils’ knowledge of place by exploring the diversity of landscapes, climates and human features across Europe. Its placement builds on earlier UK-focused studies and prepares pupils to make comparisons with specific European regions in later units.
