Description

In this unit pupils will consider how worldviews are highly contextual and that western worldviews look very different to others. They will consider how worldviews may be blended or change over time. They will reflect on how we live and respond to worldviews we may not agree with in todays society.

  2. Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic: worldviews and context
  3. Blending worldviews and changing worldviews
  4. Living harmoniously with different worldviews

  • Pupils will know what is meant by the term worldview.
  • Pupils will understand that everyone has a worldview.
  • Pupils will understand that worldviews can be religious and non-religious.
  • Pupils will know that social science looks at how people live out their worldviews in everyday life.
