Description

This unit explores the world of craft, learning practices and significance, and engaging in handmaking their own projects. Pupils will use specialist materials and tools, research notable craftspeople, and enhance their practical skills and appreciation for craftsmanship.

This unit introduces pupils to the rich tradition and contemporary practice of craft, broadening their understanding of art beyond conventional fine arts. It builds on their existing skills and encourages hands-on creativity, critical for their development as versatile artists.
