Description

Pupils will explore social action in a variety of forms, from collaborative practice to inndividual action and how art works can challenge ideas and influenece decisions. These lessons encourage critical thinking and self-expression, fostering creativity, empathy, and social awareness.

This unit deepens pupils understanding of socially engaged art and how creative practitioners tackle important societal issues. Building on their existing skills, pupils will learn to create meaningful and thought-provoking artworks that reflect contemporary concerns. This unit promotes critical thinking, emotional awareness, and an understanding of the role of art in society. It prepares pupils for more advanced art projects by encouraging them to explore complex themes and develop a personal artistic voice.
