In this final unit before GCSEs it is vital that pupils begin to explore their own sense of self and their own creative desires through various provcations. This unit is situated here to begin to support more independent choice making, allowing for pupils to have more ownership over their learning and creative practice, which is needed at the next level.

This unit explores personal identity in art through self-expression, mapping, storytelling, and the interplay between personal and universal themes. Pupils will engage with a variety of art forms while considering how identity is shaped and communicated.
