Description

This unit introduces pupils to developing their own voice. They will learn about key components in shaping their artistic voice, including research, reflection and refining ideas. The unit takes them on a journey of discovery leading to planning a final piece.

This teacher led unit builds on the previous learning in the curriculum in which pupils have widened their understanding of art craft and design. They have developed an appreciation of its cultural and historical contexts and have developed their critical thinking, innovation, and taken responsibility for their creative decisions. This is the point in which the pupils are exploring possibilities for communication, how they want to communicate and what they want to say through their art work. The are making decisions about thier technical strengths and weaknesses and choosing.
