Description

This unit enables pupils to develop awareness of a range of cybersecurity threats that impact the world and us as individuals. They will explore different forms of attack, both non-automated and automated and how encryption tools can be used to protect communication.

As pupils begin to rely more heavily on digital systems, it is vital that they understand the threats these systems face and how to defend against them. This unit builds awareness of cybersecurity, exploring both the human and technical factors behind attacks. By understanding the possible dangers and how organisations reduce vulnerabilities, pupils learn how to protect themselves and appreciate the importance of secure, resilient systems in today’s interconnected world.
