Description

During this unit, pupils develop their understanding of information technology and digital literacy skills. They will use the skills learnt across the unit to create a blog post about a real-world cause that they would like to gain support for.

As pupils become more independent in their use of technology, they need to understand how digital media shapes opinions and decisions. This unit helps them develop the skills to judge the reliability of online sources and understand copyright and licensing, preparing them to use content safely and ethically. By creating a blog to promote a cause, pupils practise communicating clearly and persuasively. These skills will be built on across subjects when presenting arguments, analysing sources and sharing ideas responsibly.
