Description

This unit teaches pupils about the geography of Liverpool, one of the UK's most important cities. Pupils learn about Liverpool's location and importance at different scales and about its characteristics. Pupils will learn about the factors leading to economic, social and environmental change.

Pupils can build on their locational knowledge of cities in the UK and on the study of Jakarta in the previous unit to better their understanding of the factors and processes contributing to the characteristics and development of Liverpool. In subsequent units, pupils will be able to apply their knowledge in studying economic geography and resources.
