Description

In this unit, pupils will plan, develop, and evaluate a physical computing project. They will break down the project into smaller, easier-to-solve tasks. They will put these plans into action to create a working prototype that they use to evaluate their successes and identify future improvements.

In this unit pupils will build on their understanding of the control structures sequence, selection, and iteration, and develop their problem-solving skills. They will apply their programming knowledge to solve physical computing problems to recognise that not all programming outputs are seen on screen. This unit develops pupils' understanding of project development to recognise that planning, implementation and review are common techniques that can employed no matter what the project is.

  1. Creating programs on a physical computing device
  2. Using input and output
  3. Connecting micro:bits to other hardware
  4. Designing a physical computing project
  5. Developing a physical computing project
  6. Reflecting on a physical computing project
