Description

This unit will teach pupils how to apply their skills of siding an object accurately into a variety of competitive games. In order to outwit their opponents, pupils will have to think tactically about where and why they are aiming in order to score points.

Pupils already have a strong understanding of how to score points by using accurate rolling and throwing skills, in this unit, pupils have the opportunity to develop their knowledge further, by applying their skills in a variety of different game situations and contexts. Later in the unit, pupils will learn how to use tactics to increase the likelihood that they can overcome their opponent in games.

  1. Accuracy: can you outwit an opponent using accurate throwing to win points?
  2. Accuracy: can you think tactically, using accuracy skills to beat an opponent?
  3. Accuracy: can you complete different golf challenges applying accurate rolling?
  4. Accuracy: can you compete against an opponent, using accuracy in Boccia?
  5. Accuracy: can you outwit an opponent by aiming for space to score points?
  6. Accuracy: can you demonstrate accurate throwing skills and send a ball to space?

  • Pupils can throw a ball accurately.
  • Pupils know why they have to be accurate in order to beat an opponent.
  • Pupils know how to throw a ball into space and towards a target.
  • Pupils know how to roll a ball into space and towards a target.
  • Pupils can create tactics to beat their opponent.
