Description

This unit will explore core gymnastics skills both individually and in combination. Pupils will develop their stability whilst holding their own body position and when supporting a partner. They will learn how to give appropriate feedback to others on posture and the execution of short sequences.

Pupils will already have experienced basic ideas in gymnastics to include exploring how to balance, roll, rotate and safe ways to land from apparatus including a bench. Pupils will now refine their technique and body awareness to execute more challenging skills and build more complex sequences in pairs. Later in gymnastics they will become more technically fluent and able to analyse group performances.
